Description

The Parish Church of St Mary and St Peter is a Grade I listed building located on the west side of The Street in Wilmington. The church features a chancel dating from the 12th century, a north chapel from the 13th century, a nave built in the 14th century, and a north porch constructed in the 15th century. The south aisle, which was originally designed like a transept, was rebuilt in 1883 by the architects Paley and Austin. The church includes kingpost roofs and a Jacobean pulpit, adding to its historical significance.
