Description
The gate-piers and flanking walls at the entrance to Lavington Park were designed by Detmar Blow for Lord Woolavington in 1903. These structures are made of chequered stone and flints, featuring ball caps on the gate-piers. Each side of the gate-piers is flanked by a wall that forms a double curve, also constructed of chequered stone and flints, topped with a coping of knapped flints. There is a pedestrian archway on each side. The mansion itself is located in the parish of East Lavington, within the part of Chichester District that was formerly Midhurst Rural District.
