Description

The Mill House is a two-storey building located at Plumpton Place, originally constructed as a mill and later adapted into a residence by Sir Edwin Lutyens for Edward Hudson in 1928. The structure dates back to the 18th century or earlier. It features three windows, with red brick on the ground floor and weather-boarding above. The roof is tiled, and there are casement windows throughout. A modern bay has been added to the ground floor at the west end, and a modern L-wing has been constructed behind the main building. The house faces the northernmost of the two lakes.
