Description

Compton Village Stores is an 18th-century building with an older core, situated on The Square in Compton. It is a two-storey building with three windows. The exterior is painted brick and features a modillion eaves cornice. The roof is tiled. One window is a sash window without glazing bars, while the others are casements. An early 19th-century iron porch with a tent-shaped canopy and ball finial is present. A modern shop section has been built out in front of the eastern end of the building. The building holds group value, contributing to the character of the area.
