Description
The outbuildings located approximately 6 metres south of Cowl House are a Grade II listed structure dating from the mid-18th century, with later additions. They consist of a smithy, pigsties, a boilhouse, a byre, and a loose box with a loft above. The buildings are constructed from squared sandstone and feature a pantile roof. The layout is T-shaped, with a two-storey, two-bay front and a single-storey range at the rear. The stable doors have been renewed and are set in flush quoined openings with roughly tooled lintels. There are shuttered pitching holes above the doors, a stepped eaves course, and coped gables. On the right gable wall, stone steps lead to a dog kennel and a board loft door. These outbuildings are included for their group value.
