Description
The water and clock tower, located immediately to the south-south-west of Tor Royal, dates from the late 18th century, with the belfry possibly being slightly later. It is constructed from granite rubble, featuring dressed granite pilasters at the corners. The belfry has a hipped octagonal copper roof. The tower itself is square in shape and includes a door on its front wall that opens into the courtyard. At the top, there is a smaller open octagonal belfry supported by granite columns, topped with a ball finial and a weathervane. The belfry is depicted in a drawing of Tor Royal House from 1828.
