Description

These are gate piers located approximately 125 metres north-east of Waye Barton, dating from the mid-19th century. They are made of granite ashlar and feature a wrought iron gate. The gate piers are monolithic, square in section, and have rounded heads. From the front of each, walls made of coursed granite ashlar extend forward, featuring a chamfered plinth and low-pitched weathered coping. These walls lead to similar-style square section terminal piers topped with pyramid caps. The wrought iron gate is contemporary to the piers.
