Description

Sandsgate Cross Bridge is a road bridge that spans a stream tributary of the River Teign. It was likely built in the early or mid 19th century. The bridge is constructed from roughly-shaped blocks of granite and features a small, single span with granite lintels. It has vertical abutments, and the stream is crossed by a series of long granite slabs placed side by side. The bridge has a 20th-century parapet made of timber posts with iron rails.
