Description

This headstone, dated 1794, is located approximately 1.5 metres east of the chancel of the Church of Holy Trinity in Drewsteignton. It commemorates Josias and Ann Stevens. Made of limestone, the upright slab stands about 600mm high and features a shaped head. The front is inscribed with neat Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, detailing the death of Ann Stevens in 1793 and her husband Josias in 1794.
