Description

Teignhead Clapper Bridge is a clapper bridge over the North Teign River, dating from the early 19th century. It features piers made of rough granite blocks. Each of the three spans consists of three parallel slabs that serve as lintels, with some slabs showing drill holes. This bridge provided access to Teignhead Farm, which was a new enclosure granted in 1808.
