Description
The stable block at Park Farmhouse is a late 18th century or early 19th century structure located approximately 15 meters south of the barns range. It is built from coursed lias stone and features a tile roof. The building is two storeys high, with a hay loft above the stable, and includes a one-storey lean-to on the east side.
The entrance side has two square, two-light openings with segmental heads, along with a wide plank door that is set beneath a narrower blocked segmental arch. The eaves on this side are decorated with a brick saw-tooth pattern. On the south side, there is a loading door located in the centre of the first floor, and to the north, there is a later added open lean-to. The east lean-to, which has a swept-down roof and brick dentil eaves, features a door at the south end that is slightly set back.
Inside, the stable is floored for half its width and supported by a very heavy beam. This stable block is an integral part of a well-preserved farm group.
