Description

Buildings 22 and 23 Middle Street date from the 16th and 17th centuries. They are constructed of rubble, with No. 22 having a Cotswold stone roof and No. 23 a slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high with a dormer window. No. 22 has one window containing 2 and 3-light stone mullions and a dripmould. No. 23 features a modern shop-type window, but its gable end displays two blocked 2-light stone mullion windows with dripmoulds. This creates a pleasant grouping with No. 24, which is slightly set back from the road. Buildings 21 to 27, when considered together, form a group.
