Description
The Second World War Memorial at the Church of St Barnabas was built after 1945 to honor the men of Tuffley who lost their lives during the Second World War. The memorial features a simple timber cross mounted on a stone base with a moulded cap. Attached to the cross is a bronze plaque that lists the dates 1939 – 1945 and the names of the sixteen individuals from the parish who fell during the war. The base of the memorial is positioned on a narrow, two-stepped platform. The surrounding hard landscaping of the Garden of Remembrance is not included in this listing.
