Description

The Cotswold Perfumery is a mid-19th century remodelling of an early 18th century cottage, situated on Victoria Street. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a Cotswold stone roof. The west front features two storeys and a gable-lit attic, with two windows on the lower level and one above. These windows are mullioned casements, with 2 and 3 lights. The south gable incorporates a modern shopfront over an oriel. End stacks are present, one built of ashlar and the other of brick.

The building’s interior was remodelled in the mid-19th century. The exterior displays modern fenestration within original surrounds. A string course runs above the ground floor, and a chamfered doorway is centrally positioned. The Cotswold Perfumery is linked to the Rose Tree Restaurant by a two-story former cottage, which has been heavily modernized and retains a single mullion window with a drip moulding to the ground floor. The Cotswold Perfumery largely obscures the river front of Bridge Ends.
