Description
The gates and gate piers to Halsey House, located on the east return fronting Pittville Lawn, were constructed around 1828 to 1832. They feature cast-iron 'cages' adorned with wrought-iron scroll decorations and ogee capping, topped with urn and acorn finials, all set on stuccoed plinths. The double gates have arrowhead bars. These gates and gate piers are an important part of the streetscape and contribute significantly to the overall design of Wellington Square.
