Description
Bonehill Farmhouse and the outbuildings to the east date from the 17th century or earlier, with later additions to the south. The extreme north end is constructed of stone rubble and cob, topped with a thatched roof. The main part of the front is plastered and features a slate roof. A central projecting external chimney has offsets and a square stone stack, with the top covered by a brick set diagonally and a slate pent roof that forms a small porch against the return of the chimney. The door frame is stop-moulded, likely from the early 17th century, and it retains its original panelled and studded door. An outhouse projecting from the front has slate hanging in diminishing courses. This building is particularly significant due to its proximity to St Margaret's Church.
