Description

The road bridge over Dawlish Water is a 19th-century structure that incorporates a 17th-century datestone. It is built of stone rubble and features a single-span design with a segmental arch and parapets. The arch wing is slightly recessed on the north side. On the south side, there is a re-set 17th-century datestone inscribed with the words, "This bridge builded at the County Charge, Anno Dom 1685."
