Description
Moorview is a small house dating back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The structure is built of rendered rubble, with a rear lateral stack and a brick stack to the right gable end. The roof is covered in asbestos slate and is hipped at each end. Originally a two-room plan, likely altered in the 19th century, the house now features a central entrance hall. The left-hand room is heated by the rear lateral stack, and the right-hand room by the gable-end stack. A newel staircase is located at the left end of the left-hand room, beside the lateral fireplace. A 20th-century wing extends to the rear. The house has a symmetrical three-window front with likely 19th and 20th-century, three-light casement windows with glazing bars. A central, 20th-century lean-to glazed porch provides access, leading to a partly glazed 20th-century door. An outshut is positioned at the right end. A stair projection is behind the left gable end. During a survey, the interior was inaccessible but revealed two moulded cross beams in the left-hand room.
