Description

The Victoria Inn is an 18th-century building located on the west side of Fore Street. It is two stories high and features five windows. The ground floor is made of narrow coursed stone, while the first floor has stippled rendering that has been painted. The near flush frame sash windows have mostly been removed. Inside, there is an altered 18th-century staircase. There is also a cast iron pump from the 19th century situated in a stone-lined recess, which may be part of an earlier conduit to the north. The Victoria Inn, along with Nos 70 to 72, forms a group.
