Description
The orangery, located approximately 50 metres south-west of Hall House, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a tiled roof with clay ridge tiles and gable ends. The building has a rectangular plan with three tall bays, the center bay being narrower and divided by stone rubble piers. Each bay contains thin pilasters that support rounded arches beneath a moulded dentilled eaves cornice, all made of timber. The right and left bays have large full-height sash windows with vertical glazing bars that support lapped glass. The central bay features double half-glazed doors and a large overlight, both with similar lapped glazing. Inside, the rear wall is divided into three sections, with two central Corinthian columns and engaged pilasters at each end. The floor is made of patterned brick.
