Description

The Halse headstone, located approximately 4 metres south of the chancel of the Church of Saint Mary, is a Grade II listed structure dated 1831. It is made of limestone and features a ramped segmental head. The inscription commemorates Philip Halse, who died in 1831, and is presented in a shallow cursive script. The headstone also includes a banner inscription and a vase at the top.
