The Quartly chest tomb, located approximately 6 metres south of the porch of the Church of Saint Mary, is a Grade II listed structure. Likely dating from the late 18th century, it features a base made of sandstone ashlar with a chamfered plinth and a slate top. The tomb has an inscription in both upper and lower case, using italic serif lettering, which commemorates members of the Quartly family who passed away between 1793 and 1856.
