Description
The Baptist Chapel, built in 1856, is constructed from roughly squared stone rubble that is rendered on all sides except for the facade, which features ashlar quoins, kneelers, and a plinth. It has a slate roof with gabled ends and is rectangular in plan, standing as a single storey building. On the right side of the pointed arched doorway, which has a moulded surround and a hoodmould with label stops, there are two trefoil-headed light windows. Above the doorway is a small quatrefoil stone inset that is inscribed with "18 BAPTIST CHAPEL 56." Each gable end has two single trefoil-headed lights. The interior has plastered walls and a gambrel roof, with 20th-century furniture that includes tiered seating at the rear.
