Description
The farm buildings forming the west and south ranges of the farmyard to the east of Loxbeare Barton date from around the mid-19th century. They are constructed of stone rubble with slate roofs. The southern linhay range features cob on stone rubble and has gabled ends, with a half-hipped roof at the north end of the barn. The layout consists of two ranges surrounding the farmyard, with the west range serving as a boundary for the garden in front of Loxbeare Barton, making it significant to the setting of the house. The exterior includes a seven-bay linhay range to the south, supported by plain timber posts and featuring an open-fronted hay loft above. The linhay range extends for an additional four and a half bays to the west, where it is completed by a cartshed that has a loft above and a cart entrance at the north end, which is adorned with a continuous hoodmould.
