Description

Chelson Cottage, located on Chelson Lane in Harcombe, dates back to 1633 and is believed to have originated in the 17th century, although it has been modernized. This two-storey building is constructed of cob and features thatched roofing along with three and two-light casement windows. It is part of a hamlet within Sidbury Parish, situated to the northeast of Sidmouth. Chelson Cottage, along with Quickways, West Cottage, and Orchard Cottage, forms a rural group. The cottage was formerly known as Rose Cottage.
