Description
Pittsmead is an early 19th-century building, likely a doubling of an 18th-century or earlier structure. The front is of red brick, with a low-pitched gable-end slate roof. It has a symmetrical three-bay facade, featuring three windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor. These windows are recessed sash windows with intact glazing bars, arranged in a four-pane pattern on the outer windows. A central four-panel flush door has an arched radiating fanlight within a rectangular stucco surround, including springers and a cornice. A rear section dates to the 18th century or earlier, featuring hipped gable ends and slate-hung sides.
