Description
This is a mid-19th century house constructed of limestone ashlar with a slate roof. It is a double-depth plan and has three storeys and a two-window front. The second floor has 3/6-pane sash windows, the first floor has 6/6-pane sashes, and the ground floor to the right has paired 6/6-pane sashes. A pediment on brackets and a moulded architrave frames a six-panel door with glazed upper panels located on the left side. Incised platbands mark the floor levels, with a Soanian key pattern separating the second floor and a medieval-style diamond pattern separating the first floor. The interior was not inspected. To the left corner, a rubble stone wall, approximately 2 meters high and curving for about 10 meters back along St Mary Street, encloses a yard to the rear. This wall connects with the wall of St Andrew’s Church Hall.
