Description
The gazebo located in the garden of No 5 Halfway Farmhouse dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed rubblestone and features a stone slate hipped roof. The structure is square in shape and has two openings in the walls that create a covered entrance to the garden. The roof is topped with a finial, and there is a carved wooden boss at the center of the roof's interior. The interior walls are rendered. This gazebo has been included in the listing despite recent renovations because of its group value with Halfway Farmhouse Nos 1, 2, and 3, with which it is likely contemporary.
