Description
The Nest is a late 17th century former one and a half storey cottage that has been raised at the eaves and features attic gables that are sliced for eaves. The building is constructed from lias rubble with repairs in pennant stone and has a pantile roof. It has three windows on the first floor, which are later 2-light wooden casements, and two windows on the ground floor with wooden lintels. The cottage also has a moulded wooden doorcase that retains its original ribbed and panelled door, which has been restored and features studs and fleur de lys strap hinges.
