Description

An Egyptian obelisk, dating from around the 2nd century BC, is located 140 meters south-west of Kingston Lacy House. Made of granite, it was brought from Philac and erected in 1827 on a base consisting of three granite steps. The base features a carved inscription that commemorates this event.
