Description

This late 18th and early 19th century terrace comprises numbers 24 to 44 King Street. Built of red brick with gauged brick voussoirs, the building has a pitched slate roof and brick stacks. It is arranged over three storeys and features 12 ranges of sash windows with glazing bars; numbers 32, 34, 36, and 38 have modern casements. Each property has a modern front door, except for number 26, which retains its original six-panelled door. An ashlar tablet at the north end displays the name "Prospect Place" in contemporary lettering. A three-centred arched carriage entrance is located at the north end, and a coped gable is visible at the south end. This terrace forms a group with numbers 6 to 10 (even) and 14 to 44 (even) King Street.
