Coach House Adjoining To North East Of Park Villa

The coach house adjoining to the northeast of Park Villa is a Grade II listed building, dating from around the mid-19th century. It serves as a coachman's house, coach house, and stable block, featuring a hayloft above. Constructed from stone rubble, it has a slate roof with hipped ends. The building consists of a coachman's house with a one-room plan, a coach house near the center of the front elevation, and stables to the right.

The structure is two storeys high with an asymmetrical two-window front. The left side has a plank door and a 19th-century two-light casement window, while the center features wide 19th-century double carriage doors. To the right, there is a stable range with a 19th-century two-light casement, an original slatted door, a partly blocked opening, and a further window at the end. The first floor retains the remains of two sash windows.

Stone rubble steps lead up to the loft on the right-hand hipped end, and there are remains of steps on the left-hand end, which were later partly blocked in the late 19th century when a projecting wing was added to Park Villa to connect the house to the coach house, creating a sheltered way below. The interior of the coachman's house includes a 19th-century softwood stair.
