Description
The entrance gates and piers to Greenbank Cemetery, along with the railings to the east, were built in 1870. They feature squared, snecked Pennant rubble and ashlar, complemented by cast-iron gates and railings. The structure includes four heavy gate piers topped with pyramidal weathered ashlar, which are connected by a curved wall that has weathered coping. The wide gate is mounted on a central spindle and showcases Gothic decoration, with bollards at each end to secure it. The railings are set on a dwarf wall and are topped with spiked ball finials.
