Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 17th century, with alterations and extensions made in the mid 19th century. The original 17th-century section is located to the east and is constructed of rubble with freestone quoins and dressings. It features a slate roof with coped raised verges, and has three storeys with attics that include 20th-century dormers. The facade has three 2- and 3-light casement windows with ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds, all set under relieving arches and continuous dripmoulds that step up over the windows. The central entrance is a plank door framed by a chamfered surround. The 19th-century extension, made of squared freestone, projects to the left and consists of three storeys and three bays, with the central bay advanced as a gabled cross wing featuring a two-storey bow window. The extension includes 2-light casement windows in moulded surrounds and 16-pane glazing bar sash windows in plain surrounds on the west end and west elevation.
