Description
No. 3 York Buildings is a two-storey building with a basement, constructed from painted limestone ashlar. The front elevation features a parapeted flat roof, while the rear elevation is not visible. The building is situated at a change in the street's building line, creating a swept angle to the left.
The exterior has a three-window front range. On the first floor, there are three horned sash windows set in plain reveals, with carved bobbin decoration on the jambs and rounded corners at the heads of the windows. The ground floor features a 20th-century shopfront, which has undergone some alterations in the 21st century. There is a blocked opening to the basement visible in the pavement. Heavy console brackets, linked by moulding that forms arches with baroque decoration above the windows, lead to a moulded eaves cornice and a blocking course.
The interior has not been inspected.
