Description

Gothic House is an early 19th-century building, originally one but now subdivided, located on Hassocks Road in Hurstpierpoint. It is possibly the work of the Brighton architect Amon Henry Wilds. The building is two storeys high and has four windows. The front is finished with cement, with a cornice above the ground floor and a castellated parapet. The central section projects slightly and features a ground-floor doorway with a fanlight above and a pointed window to the east. Cinquefoil ornamentation sits above the doorway. The original glazing bars remain intact. The ground-floor windows are pointed.
