Description
Brightham's Farmhouse is a 17th century or earlier timber-framed house located on Bines Road in Partridge Green. It features two parallel ranges, with the back range likely being older than the front. Both ranges have been refaced with grey headers and red brick dressings, quoins, and a flush stringcourse, probably during the 17th century. Some exposed timbering with red brick infilling can be seen in the west gable end of the back range. The house has a tiled roof and casement windows with diamond-shaped or small square panes. The front range has a moulded wooden eaves cornice, while the back range boasts a massive stone crow-stepped chimney breast and a pentice behind it. The front range features a large brick chimney breast at its east end with a curved gable and a former domed top, along with a smaller chimney breast of the same design at the west end. A 19th century gabled porch is also present.
