Description
The bridge at Theale, located approximately 400 metres north-west of Theale Farmhouse, is a structure that likely dates back to the 18th century. It carries a bridle path over the River Arun and is constructed from local coursed Wealden sandstone, featuring brick dressings around the arches. The bridge has four round-headed arches, each with impost blocks. On the upstream side, there are two triangular stone cutwaters, which were noted to be in a damaged condition at the time of the survey.
