Description

South House Farmhouse is a timber-framed building, likely dating back to the 17th century or earlier. It has an L-shaped layout and was largely refaced with painted brick and stone, as well as tile hanging. Some timber framing remains visible in the north wall. The roof is tiled, and the windows are casement types. The doorway has a door comprised of six fielded panels. A chimney breast constructed of stone and brick is located in the east wing. The farmhouse has two storeys and features four windows. The building possesses group value from being an important historic feature in the local landscape.
