Description

To the south-east of New Place Manor stands a stone archway and associated garden wall. The archway dates to 1669. It features a four-centred chamfered arch with a dripstone above, surmounted by a cornice and pediment. A cartouche, bearing the date 1669 on its west side, is set within the tympanum of the pediment. A good stone garden wall extends to the south of the archway, with a projecting section to the west. The wall is of considerable age.
