Description

The Parish Church of St Peter is a significant medieval church located on Cowfold Station Road. The building features a chancel, south chapel, nave with a south aisle, a west tower, and north and south porches. The chancel dates from the 13th century, while the nave and tower were constructed in the 15th century. The south aisle is from the early 16th century. Inside, there is a large brass memorial to Thomas Nelond, who was the Prior of Southover in Lewes and died in 1433. This church is noted for its entirely medieval architecture.
