Description

39 High Street is a 16th century timber-framed building that was remodeled in the Gothic style around 1840. It has two storeys and an attic, with the gable end facing the street. The front elevation is covered in stucco, while the side elevation features pebble dash on the ground floor and curved tiles on the first floor. The roof is tiled and includes a gablet. The front has quoins and elaborate cusped bargeboards with an acorn pendant. There is a circular attic window with drip moulding, a first floor sash window also with drip moulding, and a renewed window on the ground floor. This building is prominently located on the south side of the approach to the parish church.
