Description

This 18th-century building, originally known as Yew Tree Cottage and now also incorporating Ivy Cottage, stands on the west side of North Street, Westbourne. It is a two-storey structure with five windows. The building has grey stone lintels and red brick dressings and quoins, capped by a modillion eaves cornice. The roof is tiled. The windows have keystones but lack their original glazing bars. A modern shop window has been inserted in the centre of the facade, and a bay window has been added on the ground floor to the south of it. The northernmost bay of the building, Ivy Cottage, is constructed entirely of red brick.
