Description

Fishbourne Manor is a house dated 1687, situated on Appledram Lane, Fishbourne. The building has an old tiled roof, two storeys and an attic. It is constructed of red brick with grey headers, which were once painted. A brick stringcourse and cornice are present. The north front features four sash windows and two dormers. The east front includes two dormers, four casement windows on the first floor, and on the ground floor, two bays with French windows. A 19th-century porch was formerly located on the east side; now a doorcase in an 18th-century style is present, featuring engaged pilasters with an entablature above. A six-panelled oak door is set into the reveals. Internal features include oaken timbering. A modern addition is visible at the south-western corner.
