Description

The building began as a parish workhouse and is now a village hall. It is a two-part, L-shaped structure, with a west wing dating to the 17th century and a south-east wing added between 1788 and 1797. Originally, the south-east wing extended further south than it does now. The west wing is two storeys high and has five windows, constructed from coursed stone with a tiled roof and casement windows. The south-east wing is also two storeys high, with a further storey above, and has two windows. It is built of red brick with grey brick headers, formerly painted, and features a modillion eaves cornice and a tiled roof. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars.
