Description

The Lodge at Summerlea School, located to the southwest of the Schoolhouse, is a late 19th-century building designed by architect J L Pearson. It has an L-shaped layout and stands two storeys tall, featuring one window in each wing. The ground floor is constructed of red brick, while the upper floor is tile-hung, topped with a tiled roof. The windows are casement style with leaded lights. The east front of the south wing includes a wooden porch, and the east wing features a canted bay window supported by wooden brackets, which hold up a gabled first floor. A red brick chimney stack is positioned against a timber-framed gable.
