Description

The Parish Church of St Nicholas features a chancel, nave with a south aisle, a south porch, and a west tower. The nave dates back to the Saxon period, and part of one of the original wooden shutters has been preserved. The south aisle was built around 1190 to 1220, the chancel around 1380, the tower around 1420, and the south porch was added in 1830. This is an unrestored medieval church notable for its particularly impressive tower.
