Description

Barton Manor is an L-shaped house, primarily dating from the 18th to 19th century, but it includes parts of an 11th-century hall and a 13th-century chapel in its north-west wing. The building is constructed from Bognor stone rubble and features a tiled roof. There are two buttresses on the north wall and another buttress on the south wall at the south-west angle of the L. The chapel contains 13th-century lancet windows and, inside, there are remains of a piscina built into a cupboard.
