Description

The bridge over the River Wey, built in 1874, is a road bridge made of red brick in English bond. It features two wide segmental arches constructed with four courses of header bricks, and has cut waters on the central pier. The bridge includes impost bands, broad battered buttresses on either side, and square-sectioned end piers. Below the parapet, there is a stepped, chamfered band. The parapet itself has chamfered ashlar coping that rises at the center and over the buttresses and end piers. On the road side, there are central ashlar panels with incised cusped-cornered designs.
