Description
Eastley End House is a large building that has been converted into a restaurant. It dates from the late 18th century, with some additions from the 19th century. The house is constructed of red brick and features a hipped slate roof with a parapet. It has three storeys and a rectangular plan.
The west front includes a central three-storey, splay-sided projecting bay. On the ground floor, there is a central door with a fanlight above it, framed by a doorcase and a simple horizontal dentillated entablature. On either side of the splay bay, there are windows with segmental arches, featuring 12-pane sash windows. This window style is repeated on the first and second floors, although the second-floor windows have only 6 panes. The building has brick quoins and band courses on the first floor, and a brick cornice with diagonal brick dentils on the second floor.
To the north, there is a later single-storey wing that includes a large splay-sided bay window and, to the left, an 18-pane sash window. There is also a two-storey extension to the south, which has hipped roofs.
The east elevation of the main block has three storeys, with a rendered ground floor and brick above. The ground floor features four 12-pane sash windows and a door with a casing added in 1982. The first floor has five 12-pane sash windows, while the second floor has five 6-pane sash windows, along with a brick string course.
Internally, the only original features are a 19th-century staircase and entrance hall.
